Norwegian development bank Innovation Norway will select 10,000 Romanian households which are not connected to the electricity grid and will finance their connection.
According to the local media, the bank’s representatives have already started the field documentation to select the households. The Romanian authorizes have sent a list of 21,000 homes without electricity. But the number of households which are currently not connected to the electricity grid is much higher. Last year, former Minister of Energy Victor Grigorescu said that about 100,000 households are not connected to electricity grid, since transportation infrastructure does not exist.
