According to short-term indicators of energy statistics published by Croatian Bureau of Statistics, net electricity production in Croatia in October 2016 amounted to 1,062 GWh, which is 5.67 % more than in the same month last year, when the production amounted to 1,005 GWh.
During October, 471 GWh of electricity or 44.35 % was produced in hydropower plants, 457 GWh or 43.03 % was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 94 GWh or 8.85 % of total produced electricity. In this period, Croatia imported 579 GWh of electricity, which is 19.8 % less than in October 2015, while electricity exports stood at 168 GWh, which is 46.7 % less than in October 2015.
