16 energy companies appear in the top of the 50 biggest companies in Romania in 2015 in terms of turnover. OMV Petrom Group remains in the second place with its refining business and in the third place with its hydrocarbons extracting business. Another oil company, Rompetrol Rafinare is placed fourth.
Rompetrol Downstream is placed sixth and Lukoil Romania is in the eight position. E.On Energie Romania is 10th, ENGIE Romania is 13th and MOL Romania is 16th. The first company on the list, outside of oil and gas sector is electricity distributor Electrica in 19th place.
