According to short-term indicators of energy statistics published by Croatian Bureau of Statistics, net electricity production in Croatia in July 2016 amounted to 844 GWh, which is 12.23 % more than in the same month last year, when the production amounted to 752 GWh.
During July, 451 GWh of electricity or 53.44 % was produced in hydropower plants, 301 GWh or 35.66 % was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 54 GWh or 6.4 % of total produced electricity. In this period, Croatia imported 970 GWh of electricity, which is 3.39 % less than in July 2015, while electricity exports stood at 188 GWh, which is 74.07 % more than in July 2015.
