More than 90 million euros paid for balancing energy in 2016 – Bulgaria, 7 April 2017

The data published by the Bulgarian electricity transmission system operator ESO show that the coordinators of electricity balancing groups in Bulgaria paid over 90 million euros for deficit energy in 2016.
The total energy deficit in Bulgaria’s energy system last year amounted to 980,322 MWh, an increase from 968,070 MWh in 2015.
