97 % of the voters on the local referendum in the General Toshevo municipality in Dobrudzha said that they are against oil and gas extraction in the area. Since almost 58 % of the registered voters voted, the referendum is valid and binding.
The voters of General Toshevo municipality almost unanimously said that they are against the city council approving plans for exploration, extraction and processing of gas, oil, solid fuels and mining waste on its territory.
