Bulgaria saw the biggest CO2 emissions increase in the EU in 2022 – Region, 09 June 2023

According to data published by the European statistics agency Eurostat, Bulgaria registered the biggest increase (+ 12 %) in carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel combustion (oil and oil products, natural gas, coal and peat) for energy use among the European Union in 2022.
