Coal-based electricity production fell short of 2022 target – Greece, 06 January 2023

The doubling of coal-based electricity generation by the end of 2022 has failed and its contribution to reducing electricity prices was negligible. However, this should be improved in 2023, with the commissioning of 660 MW Ptolemaida V coal-fired unit.
