EU embargo on Russian refined petroleum products enters into force on 5 February – Region, 03 February 2023

A European Union embargo on Russian refined petroleum products will enter info force on 5 February as the eight-month transition period ends.

In June last year, the EU released its sixth package of sanctions, including a complete import ban on Russian seaborne crude oil and petroleum products.
