Gas-fired plants accounted for 43 % of electricity generation in December – Greece, 11 January 2023

The share of natural gas-fired power plants in total electricity generation in Greece increased to 43 % in December from 37 % a month earlier.

Renewable energy (namely wind, solar and biomass) followed with 26 % of total electricity generation, then lignite with 17 %, electricity imports with 10
