Croatian and Slovenian electricity transmission system operators HOPS and ELES, as well as electricity distribution system operators HEP-ODS and SODO signed in Brussels an agreement on the first phase of SINCRO.GRID project, thus obtaining 40 million euros of EU funding for the project.
The purpose of the SINCRO.GRID project is to use advanced technical systems and algorithms to manage power flows in order to improve the quality of voltage in electricity networks and increase the transmission capacity of existing lines, thus ensuring better integration of renewable energy into electricity system and increased the security of supply.
