Serbian Government announced that it has signed an agreement on the construction of 28 kilometers long heat pipeline between thermal power plant Nikola Tesla complex (TENT) and Belgrade, worth 190 million euros, with Power Construction Corporation of China.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of a meeting of the heads of Governments of China and 16 Central and East European countries held in Budapest. The Government said that state-owned operator of district heating service in Belgrade expects to cut its annual costs by 45 million euros after the pipeline is put into operation, and thus will be able to repay the loan provided by the Chinese Government for the construction of heat pipeline.
