State Secretary at the Ministry of Energy Robert Tudorache said that the Ministry will ask for the inclusion of the AGRI gas interconnection project in the list of project of common interest (PCI), so it can receive EU funding.
Tudorache reiterated the Ministry’s wish to continue with the AGRI project, as it allows diversification of supply sources. He said that together with Hungary, Romania intends to ask for including this project on the list of European projects of common interest, adding that the project will have to meet certain conditions to be included on this list. One of the conditions is to represent the interest of two EU Member States.
