Romanian National Regulatory Authority for Energy (ANRE) announced that it would inspect the technical conditions of electricity and natural gas distribution networks, which would be the first such inspection in the past twelve years, since these networks were privatized.
Vice-President of ANRE Emil Calota said that in many cases the distribution networks are oversized compared to the current consumption needs, therefore ANRE decided to hire a consultancy company which will perform the inspection.
