Bulgarian Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova said that French energy company Areva is interested in the project for the construction of Bulgaria’s second nuclear power plant Belene, which has been revive by the Parliament earlier this week.
Minister Petkova said that the Ministry received an official letter from Areva, in whihc the company said that it is interested in participating in NPP Belene project and that it is backed by the French Government. She also said that it is expected that the project will be completed by 2026.
