Auditors gave qualified opinion on EPBiH operation in 2015 – Bosnia and Herzegovina, 20 August 2016

The Audit Office for the Institutions of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) gave a qualified opinion on the last year’s operation of Bosnian power utility EPBiH.
The auditors drew attention to advance payments made to EPBiH’s coalmines in the amount of over 12 million euros. Despite these payments, the situation in coalmines is still difficult, so the justification of these payments is questionable, especially their recoverability. EPBiH did not carry out the assessment of the recoverability of these advance payments.
