According to data published by State Office for Statistics, the average daily electricity consumption of households in Macedonia in 2015 amounted to 4.2 kWh per capita, while average total daily gross electricity consumption was 10.8 kWh per capita.
The number of households which electricity demand could be covered by the production from renewable sources (RES) is also growing. Macedonian hydro potential has provided electricity for 333,433 households in 2015, while wind production provided electricity for 21,589 households. Solar energy was accounted for providing electricity for 4,040 households and biogas for 3,614 households.
