The National Parliament of Azerbaijan has approved the project for the construction of Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP) during its latest session on 30 September.
The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Valeh Alasgarov said that Turkey, as Azerbaijan’s partner in this project, has already implemented all necessary state procedures on the TANAP project, noting that the Parliament has also discussed cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey in the energy sector. He also reminded that the two countries have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on this matter in May 2014.
