The bank account of the company that operates coalmine and thermal power plant (RiTE) Ugljevik has been blocked. The blockage was made by the order of the Bijeljina Commercial Court of 20 June, in order to seize the amount of some 1.52 million euros which is owed to local company “Tereks Inzenjering”.
In the statement released by the company, its management challenged the aforementioned claims. The order of 20 June was adopted in the enforcement proceedings initiated by the proposal of “Tereks Inzenjering” of 16 May, referring to the judgment of the Banja Luka High Commercial Court, which demanded the payment of 0.75 million euros which, including statutory interest starting by filing a complaint back in 2006, was raised to 1.52 million euros. However, the management of RiTE Ugljevik claims that the amount of 1.44 million euros was already paid to “Tereks Inzenjering” on 18 February this year.
