Bosnian Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Sarovic confirmed after the meeting of Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining of the Republic of Srpska (RS) Petar Djokic and his counterpart from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) Nermin Dzindic in Brussels that the two entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina are close to an agreement on the gas sector in the country.
The meeting between the two ministers, at which the implementation of the Third Energy Package was discussed, was also attended by Janez Kopac, Director of the Energy Community Secretariat. Ahead of this meeting, the Energy Community (EC) published a report on the state of energy sector in BiH, in which EC stated that despite the sanctions against BiH and the best efforts of the Secretariat, energy sector in the country is still blocked.
