Bulgarian state-owned gas supplier Bulgargaz proposed an increase in natural gas prices for consumers of 3.4 % in the fourth quarter of 2016. This is the first time since the fourth quarter of 2014 that Bulgargaz has proposed an increase in the price of natural gas.
The company proposed to the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (KEVR) that the price of natural gas for the October-December period should be about 149 euros per 1,000 cubic meters, excluding VAT. The increase is due to projected higher prices of gas supplies and the dollar exchange rate.
