Answering the question regarding the expenditures of south stream Bulgaria, a project company for now cancelled South Stream gas pipeline, Bulgarian Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova said that the company has valuable assets which can be used for the planned Balkan gas hub project.
Minister Petkova explained that South Stream Bulgaria could be useful in view of concept to build a gas distribution center in Bulgaria because the routes, which could be used to transport gas, are not different from those which have been already considered and approved. She said that Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH) could have sold its stake in South stream project company, which is co-owed by Russian Gazprom, but it can be very useful for Bulgaria in other ways.
