Electricity distributor CEZ Bulgaria, a subsidiary of Czech energy company CEZ, said that it has reached an out-of-court settlement with Bulgarian state-owned National Electricity Company (NEK) over claims on renewable energy compensations.
The statement from CEZ Bulgaria said that the company’s claims towards NEK, related to uncompensated costs for the purchase of renewable energy in the 2012-2013 period, were completely settled with the signing of this document. The settlement also covers NEK’s claims against CEZ for unpaid electricity from January and February 2014.
