A spokesperson for CEZ Distributie, local subsidiary of Czech energy company CEZ, Roxana Margineanu said that over 1.4 million consumers in Arges, Dolj, Gorj, Mehedinti, Olt, Teleorman and Valcea counties that are supplied by the company, will benefit in 2016 from improved quality parameters of the supplied electricity.
Margineanu said that this is possible through the allocation of 37.38 million euros in investments and additional 37.45 million euros for startup in the seven counties in which the company operates. These investments will also lead to a reduction in the number of interruptions in supply and to increase safety in the operation of managed equipment. In the first six months of 2016, the share of CEZ Distributie in Romanian electricity supply market rose to 5.11 %, from 5.04 % at the end of 2015.
