According to the information from the Bulgarian Government, Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova has met with the representatives of China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN) and the meeting was held as a response to a request from the Chinese company.
Minister Petkova shared the Government’s position regarding the NPP Belene project, stating that the country is looking for a strategic investor, that will not receive state guarantees for long-term electricity purchases on the domestic market. The representatives of CGN Group were interested in the parameters of the project and how it could be relaunched after the ruling of the Arbitration Court in mid-June.
