Coal output dropped by 11.8 % in the first half of 2016 – Romania, 8 August 2016

According to the data from the National Institute for Statistics (INS), net coal production in Romania in the first five months of 2016 amounted to 1.647 million tons of oil equivalent, which is 11.8 % or 219,800 tons of oil equivalent less than in the same period in 2015.
In the first five months, Romania imported 201,100 tons of oil equivalent of coal, which is 10.8 % less than the amount of coal imported in the same period last year.
