Romanian Competition Council imposed fines totaling 1.1 million euros to three companies, for an agreement aimed at limiting the sale of TR2520A electricity measuring transducers on the territory of Romania.
The sanctioned companies are: ARC Brasov, Dranetz Technologies Inc. and GMC-I Messtechnik GmbH. The statement from the Council said that after the investigation initiated following the complaint filed by one of the companies that participated in the public procurement procedure organized by the Electrica Serv Maintenance and Power Services Branch, ARC Brasov has confirmed the anticompetitive deal and consequently the fine was reduced by 15 % of the base level.
