A consortium of French Total, Italian Edison and Hellenic Petroleum (ELPE) has signed with the Greek Government a concession agreement for hydrocarbons exploration and exploitation license in offshore Block 2 in the Ionian Sea, west of Corfu.
The signing of this agreement is expected to help promote the establishment of a partnership between ELPE and ExxonMobil in the Greek hydrocarbons market. ExxonMobil is prepared to sign a strategic partnership agreement with ELPE regarding six blocks that have already been licensed to ELPE, as well as for joint participation in future tenders for hydrocarbons exploration and exploitation licenses.
