Serbian oil company NIS, majority owned by Russian GazpromNeft, and Chinese Shanghai Electric Group have signed an agreement on the construction of combinead heat and power plant (CHPP) Pancevo, worth 180 million euros.
Shanghai Electric Group has won the tender published this June and will design, built and procure the equipment for the plant. It is planned that the construction of the plant will start in the second quarter of 2018 and it should be put into operation by the end of 2019.
