The Croatian Government has proclaimed the construction of liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal on the Krk island a national strategic projects in all its stages, from start to the end.
Minister of Economy Martica Dalic said that the aim of this decision is to speed up the preparation of all necessary activities in order to start the implementation of the project so iit can be put into operation by the end of 2019. The construction of a floating terminal is just the first stage of the project, as it will upgraded to the full-scale land terminal in the second stage. The project was proclaimed a strategic investment in mid 2015.
