According to Croatian newspapers, the first phase of the construction of Korlat wind farm near Benkovac should start soon. The investor is local company HELB, and the value of the investment is about 80 million euros.
Korlat wind farm will have total power output of 63 MW (18 wind turbines with 3.5 MW each). Wind farm will stretch across the area of 10 square kilometers at an altitude of 270 to 340 meters above sea level. It will produce about 200 GWh of electricity per year, which is enough to cover the needs of about 55,000 households.
