The local Government of Rahoveci municipality announced that Kosovo electricity transmission system operator KOSTT will start the construction of 110 kV single circuit transmission line Rahoveci-Theranda worth 1.5 million euros in the summer of 2017.
The construction of 16.5 kilometers long Rahoveci-Thranda transmission line will be financed though a loan provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Currently the Rahoveci substation is operated as an island and the new transmission line will enable the flexibility for it to be in a ring. Both Rahoveci and Theranda substations are existing substations and have existing bays ready to accept the transformers and required associated equipment.
