On 12 July, a meeting between the representatives of the Croatian power exchange CROPEX and the Macedonian electricity transmission system operator MEPSO took place, during which the cooperation on the establishing of organized electricity market in Macedonia was agreed.
At the meeting, the representatives of CROPEX presented their experience in terms of establishing the day-ahead market in Croatia. On the other hand, the representatives of MEPSO presented the phases of development of the electricity market in Macedonia and the activities performed in order to accomplish the obligations it has been entitled with the so-called “soft measures” in the field of establishing organized electricity market and market coupling. Both sides viewed the possibilities for future cooperation for the development and advancement of national electricity markets.
