Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Aleksandar Antic met with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Belgrade Eldar Hasanov and discussed the cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy, which may contribute to the improvement of economic relations.
On this occasion, Minister Antic informed the Azeri Ambassador on the progress of implementation of the project for the construction of gas interconnection between Serbia and Bulgaria. Hasanov briefed Antic on the stage of implementation of two large gas pipeline projects Trans-Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP) and Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) and the eventual possibility of involvement of Serbia in gas supplies via these pipelines. He also pointed out to significant but still unused opportunities for cooperation between Serbia and Azerbaijan in the energy sector.
