Croatian DIV Group from Samobor has announced that construction of the largest wind farm in Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to Croatian media, wind farm will be located near Tomislavgrad and its construction should start next year.
DIV Group, which is mostly engaged in shipbuilding, will be in charge of the construction of pillars for wind turbines, while the procurement agreements for other equipment are yet to be signed. DIV Group plans to position itself as a producer of electricity from renewable sources and gas-fired cogeneration plants. The Group plans to build wind farms in Croatia and other countries in the region with combined installed capacity between 400 and 600 MW by the end of 2017, with a tendency to increase investments in the expansion of existing wind farms and construction of new units at onshore and offshore locations.
