Although some reports suggested that the start of the construction of IGB project (gas interconnection between Greece and Bulgaria), initially planned for October, will be delayed, the final decision regarding the project’s development will be made by the end of October, after all interested parties submit their binding bids for pipeline capacity reservations.
The construction of gas interconnection will begin this year only if the second phase of the market test successfully clears the capacity reservation stage, which will determine the sustainability of the investment.
