Greek natural gas transmission system operator DESFA and its newly-established Albanian counterpart Albgaz have agreed to set up a joint venture to operate and maintain the sections of Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) in Albania.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two companies was signed by DESFA’s CEO Sotiriois Nikas and Albgaz’ CEO Klodian Gradeci. The MoU calls for the transfer of knowhow from DESFA to the new venture, which will be based in Tirana.
