Total electricity consumption in Macedonia in April 2016 amounted to 575,485 MWh, natural gas consumption amounted to 4.804 million cubic meters, coal consumption reached 441,255 tons, while the consumption of petroleum products stood at 90,069 tons.
According to the data from State Statistical Office, 67.8 % of the consumed electricity was covered by domestic production, while 97.4 % of the total coal consumption was used for electricity production.
