Total electricity consumption in Macedonia in August 2016 amounted to 583,070 MWh, natural gas consumption amounted to 11.751 million cubic meters, coal consumption reached 494,249 tons, while the consumption of petroleum products stood at 110,346 tons.
According to the data from State Statistical Office, 70.7 % of the consumed electricity in June was covered by domestic production, while 95.5 % of the total coal consumption was used for electricity production.
