The Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) said that Chinese Dongfang Electric Corporation is interested in the construction of 160 MW hydropower plant Dabar.
According to FIPA, the representatives of Chinese company have sent a letter of intent for this project to the Government of the Republic of Srpska (RS). Preparatory works related to the construction of the plant officially started in September last year with the construction of water supply tunnel, a project that should cost about 57 million euros. “Hidroelektrane na Trebisnjici” (HET), a daughter company of state-owned power utility ERS, is the sole owner of HPP Dabar.
