E-Distribution Dobrogea has invested about 2.4 million euros in the modernization of the Mircea Voda transformer station from Calarasi County, which supplies electricity through the medium and low voltage network for over 13,000 customers in the western half of the county.
The 110/20 kV transformation station Mircea Voda was put into operation in 1979 and only maintenance works have been carried out since then. Upgrading works began in October 2015 and were staged to maintain continuity in the electricity supply to consumers.
