German energy group E.ON has set up a new company in Romania – E.ON Vanzari and has applied for a license for electricity supply from the National Authority for Energy Regulation (ANRE).
Share capital of the newly established company amounts to almost 2 million euros.
E.ON Romania recorded a net profit of over 110.3 million euros last year, after losses of 3.9 million euros in 2015. The supplier E.ON Energie increased its net profit by 55% in 2016 to 37.8 million euros. Its turnover amounted to over 1 billion euros.
