The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) announced that it is considering to provide a 116 million euros loan to power distribution company CEZ Bulgaria, a subsidiary of Czech CEZ energy group, for the purpose of rehabilitation of electricity network.
The loan will be used to finance the company’s capital investment program in the distribution network for the period 2016-2017, including the acquisition of energy infrastructure, equipment and rehabilitation and construction of new infrastructure. This investment is expected to reduce the company’s grid losses and improve the quality of distribution services.
