The Mayor of Banja Luka Igor Radojicic said that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has approved 8.4 million euros loan for financing the construction of biomass-fueled heating plant in the city.
Radojicic stressed that the approval of this loan is a result of months-long negotiations with the EBRD, which performed complete financial, technical and legal analysis of the project, adding that he expects that the financial structure of the project will be closed within next week. The loan will help the city to clear previous debt it concluded with commercial banks in order to finance its share in the construction of the new heating plant.
