EC approved 11.5 million euros financing for HPP Djerdap 1 – Serbia, 26 June 2017

Serbian Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure announced that the European Commission (EC) has approved financing of 11.5 million euros for a project for the upgrade of dam at hydropower plant Djerdap 1.
The statement from the Ministry said that the EC will finance 40 % of the total value of the project through the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). Total value of the project is 28.5 million euros and the remaining 17 million euros will be provided by Serbia from its budget for the period between 2018 and 2020.
