EC Secretariat issued Opinion on ERE certification of Albgaz – Albania, 9 October 2017

The Energy Community Secretariat has published its Opinion on the certification of the Albanian natural gas transmission system operator Albgaz under the Third Energy Package.
The Opinion supports the certification of Albgaz in line with the decision of the Albanian Energy Regulatory Authority (ERE), subject to several requests for additional elaboration and conditions. The Secretariat believes that changes to primary legislation are needed before Albgaz can be considered fully independent of the Ministry of Energy.
