Elcen, the company which supplies district heating to Romanian capital Bucharest and produced about 40 % of the country’s thermal energy, has concluded a maintenance and service contract worth 5.6 million euros with General Electric Global Services (GE).
The company, which is a service division of GE, will provide service and maintenance to the gas turbine operated by CTE Bucharest West power plant. The validity of the awarded contract is six years. General Electric Global Services was one of only two bidder at the public tender organized by Elcen in May.
