Electrica awarded 5.2 million euros contract without public tender – Romania, 3 August 2016

According to Romanian media, electricity distributor and supplier Electrica has signed a contract worth over 5.2 million euros with SAP Romania on 1 August. The contract was signed through direct negotiation, without public tender.
The signed contract is for the provision of maintenance services related to the SAP licenses, required for the functioning of Electrica’s IT system. The company said that these services could be provided by a single bidder, due to a technical reasons, which is why it had not organize the public tender.
