Romanian electricity supplier Electrica Furnizare has bought 1.6 million green certificates worth about 60 million euros between April and May from the companies owned by the Portuguese group EDP Renewables.
This transaction caught the attention of the authorities due to very high volumes and the long delivery period, namely until 2019, which is odd since the market is facing a huge surplus of green certificates.
