Electricity consumption increased by 9.2 % in the first seven months – Romania, 12 September 2016

According to the data by National Institute for Statistics (INS), electricity consumption in Romania in the first seven months of 2016 amounted to 32.18 TWh, which is 9.2 % more compared to the same period in 2015.
The data show that industrial electricity consumption increased by 11.8 % to 24.8 TWh. On the other hand, households electricity consumption amounted to 7.04 TWh, which is a 1.5 % increase. Public lighting consumption decreased by 1.3 %, amounting to some 344 GWh.
